About the Climate Challenge

The Climate Action Challenge is a new global design competition calling on designers and creative entrepreneurs to submit innovative solutions to combat the impacts of climate change. The Climate Action Challenge is initiated by Amsterdam-based Design platform What Design Can Do (WDCD), in partnership with IKEA Foundation and Autodesk Foundation. The Challenge was officially launched on 23 May at WDCD Live in Amsterdam.

There are separate tracks and awards for students, creative professionals and start-ups. The winners, selected by an international jury, share an award package worth €900.000 which includes a production budget, travel and accommodation expenses and a tailor-made acceleration program to learn and to make their ideas, prototypes or startups market- and investment ready.
